Some tweet lots of informative links, others lots of company spam, some just chit-chat, and a lot mix all of the aforementioned up to varying degrees. Some follow and want tens of thousands of followers... while others follow few. Some are lone Tweeters, and others come in as or form groups. One thing I can promise - if you find and follow the right people in your areas or interest you'll learn more than you could hope for.
